چکیده

The addressing principle of distributed optical fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensor based on frequency modulation continuous wave (FMCW) multiplexing technology was studied, and the theoretical analysis of FBG multiplex distance were carried out; In order to analyze the impact on the spectrum signal, the effect of grating position information, scanning time and scanning frequency range on the spectrum signals were analyzed by simulation. When the FBG multiplex distance is integer or non-integer multiple of system minimum resolution distance, for the FMCW multiplexing scheme was simulated. The grating distance, the scan time and the scanning frequency range significantly affect the signal strength and the signalto-noise ratio. Finally, the related experimental system was established and the results are consistent with the theory.

Model and signal processing of bistatic frequency- modulated continuous wave synthetic aperture radar

Bistatic frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) synthetic aperture radar (SAR) mounts the radar transmitter and receiver on separate platforms, which offers considerable capabilities, reliability and flexibility in designing FMCW SAR missions. Moreover, the spatial separation achieves better isolation between transmission and reception channels compared with the monostatic FMCW SAR where th...

Focusing Bistatic FMCW SAR Signal by Range Migration Algorithm Based on Fresnel Approximation

Frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) technique has recently been employed by synthetic aperture radar (SAR) to decrease the radar cost and volume. However, the operation range is limited by the direct energy leakage from the transmitting channel to receiving channel due to the operation principle of FMCW technique. Bistatic configuration is an efficient way to increase the isolation betwe...

Multiplexed fiber Bragg grating strain-sensor system with a fiber Fabry - Perot wavelength filter.

There has been considerable interest recently in the development of fiber-optic sensors based on in-fiber Bragg gratings (FBG's), which can be written into Ge-doped fibers by use of a transverse holographic method.' The use of such elements for distributed strain or temperature sensing in advanced composite or other structural elements and their use as inline reflectors in interferometric syste...

FMCW Radar Performance for Atmospheric Measurements

Frequency-modulated continuous-wave radars (FMCW) have been used in the investigation of the atmosphere since the late 1960’s. FMCW radars provide tremendous sensitivity and spatial resolution compared to their pulsed counterparts and are therefore attractive for clear-air remote-sensing applications. However, these systems have some disadvantages and performance limitations that have prevented...
